Educational Tours

KVM values academic performance but it also values fun !! So it organizes picnics, outings, package tours and educational tours. Such outings provide a splendid opportunity for the teachers to get to know their children better, through greater and personal interaction and to understand the other facets of their personalities which are so difficult to observe in the classroom.

Social Activities

At KVM students are encouraged to participate in a number of activities. The motto of such activities is "to lead is to serve". They aim at rendering help to all classes of society but most specifically the poor and underprivileged section. KVM opened its heart to the children of the inmates of Central Jail, Amritsar. Under the tutelage of India Vision foundation, an NGO started by Dr. Kiran Bedi, these underprivileged children were given toys, books, furniture and colours. This warmth and affection provided them with a new hope, whose future seems to be far from perfect.

In order to inculcate a spirit of adventrue and love for wildlife and nature among its students KVM adopted a park where saplings were planted by the students. It was conducted under the aegis of the programme 'Earth Matters' where the students took a pledge to save their environment and Mother Earth.

To bridge the urban and rural divide by sensitizing the students and for channelizing their surplus energy, the project "Ullas" was concieved with the aid of Government Senior Secondary school at Dhandra, a village at the outskirts of Ludhiana. Under this project our students interacted and trained the students of the village in various areas like music, dance, art, craft and sports besides learning folk art from them.

The latest initiative in this regard is the adoption of a school in a slum area, Hindu Putri Pathshala by our "Prarth Club". The students and staff are contributing for helping that school in meeting its infrastructural needs.
