KVM Quizzards bags the third position in the North Region
 
After winning the district and state level quiz 'Bharat Ko Jano' our quizzards, Angad Basandrai VI-D and Shivam Gupta VIII-A went to Kurukshetra on Dec.2,2018 to participate at the North region level competition. The Kundanites bagged the third position out of 18 teams.

A district Level Declamation Contest was organised by Ludhiana City Division, Ludhiana during the District Level Philtelic Exhibition LUPEX-2018 on Nov 27, 2018 at Head Post Office, Ludhiana in which Kundanites Once Kaur( Class X), Preet Inder Singh bhalla(VI-A) bagged the first prize and Jashanpreet Kaur(class X) and Ananya Vasudeva( Class VII-B) Bagged the third prize respectively.
Event: Inter-school French Competition
Event Venue : The Lakewood School

Description :

KVM bagged 1st position in Interschool French Competition held in The Lakewood School. Out of 250 children, 50 qualified the preliminary round. 8 children bagged the first three positions in different categories. Sulakshana Gandhi of class 9th stood first in the category of class 9-12 and was awarded with Google Mini Speakers.

A Philately Quiz and Philately project was organized for the students of Classes VI to VIII by the Department of Post Office. It is a matter of great pride that six students of Kundan Vidya Mandir have been selected for the scholarship of Rs. 6000 per annum under Deen Dyal Sparsh Yojna. Ankit Pal of VIII-C won laurels for the alma mater when he bagged the gold medal in the second PTAKA Open National Karate Championship in under 14 category held on October 7, 2018 at Guru Nanak Stadium multipurpose hall in Ludhiana. This contest was organised by Tiger Ashihara Karate Organisation. Principal Mrs Navita puri congratulated him on his wonderful achievement.

Event: Badminton State Ranking Tournament

A state ranking tournament was held in Jalandhar from 29th August 2018 to 2nd September 2018. Players from all over Punjab have participated in it. Our two students Prerna Dawar and Siya Sharma have achieved these following events:-

These both have been selected for North-zone championship which is to be held at Udaipur, Rajasthan.
Event: Punjab School Zonal under-19 Cricket Tournament
Event Venue : I.P.S Civil City

Sehaj Beri of XII-F state level Cricketer got five wickets in Punjab School Zonal under-19 Cricket Tournament held at I.P.S Civil City. He is the first bowler of this tournament who got hat-trick in the match.

Kvm participated in APS FEST held in Army Public School, Chandigarh .
Kundanites performed exceptionally well and won running trophy sharing it with Bhavans Vidyalya, Panchkula.

Event: Selection of NCC Cadets for Senior Division
Event Venue : Kundan Vidya Mandir

Description :

As per the directions of the Commanding Officer 3, Pb. Batallion, NCC Col. Harmanjeet Singh (SM) and Under the guidance of Subedar Major Jagmohan Singh, Subedar Lakhwinder Singh and CHM Sunil Kumar a physical fitness test and parade for the students of Kundan Vidya Mandir, Civil lines was conducted by ANO Lt. Sandeep Singh Saini to register their name as a NCC Cadet for the Senior Division session 2018-2020. 27 students successfully passed the test and have been selected.

The principal of the school, Mrs. Navita Puri congratulated these students. She said that such activities inculcate the feeling of patriotism in students. These students can offer their services in the defense forces when they are fully

trained.
